President William Ruto on Monday assented to the Division of Revenue Bill, 2024 and the Supplementary Appropriation Bill, 2024.

The Bills that were passed by the National Assembly and the Senate will enable sharing of revenue between the national and county governments, and authorize issuance of Kshs.102B out of the Consolidated Fund respectively.
Out of the Ksh.2.9 trillion total shareable revenue, the Bill has allocated Ksh.2.5 trillion to the National Government, while counties get Ksh.400 billion.
