The National Assembly will Tuesday start debate on the Finance Bill, 2024, with the report of the Finance and Planning Committee being presented for the second reading.

And as Members of Parliament prepare to debate and vote on the contentious Finance Bill 2024, the nation is abuzz with activity both online and offline.
Disgruntled Kenyans are mobilizing for a sit-in at Parliament buildings, to raise awareness and gather support.
Kenyans have expressed their dissatisfaction with the various proposals in the bill.
A section of lawmakers have also come out to oppose the contentious Finance Bill. Speaking at St. Monica Catholic Church in Njiru Ward, Kasarani Constituency Westlands MP Tim Wanyonyi firmly stated his opposition to the Finance Bill 2024.
Wanyonyi assured the congregation of his commitment to stand against any tax measures that would cause further hardship to Kenyans.
